Summer taxes are due September 14th. Beginning September 15th a 1% per month interest penalty will be assessed. You may apply for a deferment of penalties and/or interest on summer taxes based on income, age, disability, or military service status. You may access and print off a deferment form by following the link on the left.
Winter taxes are due no later than February 28th. On March 1st all unpaid property taxes are turned over to the county and must be paid at the county office. Please contact them at 989-832-6850 to get correct amount due as there will be additional penalties applied.
When making a payment you may send it to the address above or in person at the Lincoln Township Hall on scheduled dates. There is also a drop box available 24/7 at the Township Hall. The treasurer's office will be located at the Lincoln Township Hall on the above statute dates.
Due to the high cost of postage a tax receipt must be
requested by including a self-addressed stamped envelope
with your payment. You may also print a receipt by accessing
the county website at the “Property Tax & Assessing

page.

If paying by debit, a $3.95 service fee will be charged;
if paying by credit, a 3.5% service fee is charged for
your transaction.
State statute says that even though you did not receive a property tax bill that does not excuse said property owner from paying their property taxes and a 1% interest penalty will be assessed.
We do not accept postmarks so please allow 10 business days for your payment to reach the treasurers office
Please contact the township treasurer with any mailing address changes you may have. If you have a name change due to death, sale of property, etc. you must contact the Midland County Register of Deeds to file the proper papers.
