LINCOLN TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING

September 13, 2005

 

The regular meeting of the Lincoln Township Board was called to order by the Supervisor with all members present and 20 guests. The agenda was accepted as presented. There was no public comment.

Correspondence was read regarding M-DOT rural elected officials input program, MSU citizen planner program, Midland County Treasurer's office update. IRS fuel increase was announced beginning September 1, 2005 at $.485 pre mile.

MTA seminars for land division, fire department issues, and governance academy were approved for attendance by officials by motion from Ensign. Motion approved.

The minutes of August's meeting were approved after motion by Oswald.

The treasure's report was given.

Motion to pay bills on hand by Oswald and seconded by Ensign. Roll call vote: Briggs-YES, Wray- YES , Oswald- YES, Hughes- YES, Ensign -YES. Approved unanimously.

The fire department, planning commission, building inspector, code enforcement officer, and water district reports were heard.

Adoption of Construction Board of Appeals Resolution by motion from Ensign and seconded by Oswald. Roll call vote: Ensign -YES, Hughes -YES, Oswald- YES, Wray-YES, Briggs-YES. Approved unanimously.

Approved purchase of camera for code enforcement officer after motion by Hughes and seconded by Wray.

Midland Conservation District Forrester Contract approved after motion by Hughes and seconded by Ensign. Roll call vote: Wray -YES, Ensign -YES, Briggs -YES, Oswald -YES, Hughes -YES. Approved unanimously.

Set date with road commission for 2006 estimates on October 20, 2005 Discussed renovation of hall for storage of records.
