The meeting of the Lincoln Township Planning commission was called to order by Joseph Leigeb, Chairperson at 7:00 p.m.

Roll call was taken: Joseph Leigeb, Sheila Mesler, Denise Schneider, Kevin Wray and Gary Elza were present.

Minutes of the February 25, 2003 meeting were read. Note in fifth paragraph down in first line to replace "were" with "where". Motion by Kevin Wray to accept the minutes as amended, support by Denise Schneider, motion carried.

Request by Kevin Wray to move item #7 on the agenda up to item #5, motion by Sheila Mesler to approve the agenda with change noted, support by Denise Schneider. Motion carried.

A special use permit for 2369 Birch Ridge submitted by Sherry Bellor to operate a home day care was reviewed. After discussion of the requirements there was a motion by Gary Elza and support by Sheila Mesler to grant a special use permit as requested. Motion carried. The secretary will send a copy of the minutes to the applicant, Sherry Bellor for her records.

Sheila Mesler reported on the Open Space Acts 177, 178 and the conversation that she had with what other townships have done. Sheila will bring back more information in written form at the next meeting.

The request by Modern Metal Craft to have their property rezoned was changed to show it was requesting a change to Heavy Industrial as per John McPeak on 3-11-03.

The commission reviewed the draft wording for INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS M-1 & M-2. Motion by Sheila Mesler and support by Denise Schneider to have the public hearing scheduled and to proceed with implementing the new INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS M-1 & M-2. Motion carried.

There was discussion on Section 308. Animals and Fowl Other than Household Pets. No action was taken will hold till the May meeting with follow up by Sheila Mesler for more information.

Open discussion:

Request by Kevin Wray for the members of the commission be notified ahead of time on issues for the meeting. It was agreed the chairperson would get the agenda to the secretary and it would be electronically sent to all the members of the planning commission prior to the meeting.

No other new business was presented.
