LINCOLN TOWNSHIP PLANNING COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES

July 1, 2003

The special meeting of the Lincoln Township Planning commission was called to order by Joseph Leigeb, chairperson at 7:00 p.m.

 

Roll call was taken: Joseph Leigeb, Sheila Mesler, Denise Schneider, Kevin Wray and Gary Elza were present.

 

Minutes of the June 3, 2003 meeting were read. Motion by Kevin Wray support by Sheila Mesler to accept the minutes as read. Roll call vote, passed 5-0.

 

Motion by Gary Elza support by Denise Schneider to accept the agenda as presented. Motion carried.

 

Chairperson Leigeb recessed the meeting at this time and started the public hearing on Section 308. Animals and Fowl Other Than Household Pets.

Chairperson Leigeb read the draft of Section 308 to all present.

The meeting was opened to all for questions and comments regarding Section 308.

Following the question and comment period Kevin Wray made a motion to accept Section 308 draft proposal with minor changes as noted, support by Gary Elza. Roll call vote, passed 5-0. The draft with changes will be presented to the township board with recommendation to adopt.

 

Chairperson Leigeb re-convened the meeting.

 

Chairperson Leigeb presented a draft for fee�s to be charged under Section 1303 D of the Township Zoning Ordinance. It is the Planning Commissions recommendation to the Township Board that a fee of $500.00 be used for Section 1303 D. A voice vote was taken and consensus was received to present to the board.

 

A proposal from Spicer Group to review and update the Township of Lincoln Zoning Ordinance manual was reviewed. It was decided to send to the Township Board with the recommendation that this work needs to be done but the proposal is higher than it should be. Possible negotiate with Spicer Group on what is to be done and bring the price in line. The Planning Commission is looking for direction from the board on how to proceed with this issue.

 

Chairperson Leigeb opened the meeting up for discussion from the members and the public.

There was no old business or additions new business presented.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:06 p.m.
