LINCOLN TOWNSHIP BOARD MEETING MINUTES MARCH 11, 2003                                                                

The regular meeting of the Lincoln Township Board was called to order by Supervisor with all board members present and 22 guests.
Hughes motioned and Sheets supported to amend the agenda to include a budget amendment. 
Commissioner Ted O'Neil addressed the board concerning the new jail site and related issues.
Correspondence was read regarding a barking dog complaint and the sheriff's department investigation of such and a letter from legal council of the status of Briggs vs. Lincoln Township.
A motion to approve the minutes as amended was given by Wray with support by Sheets: Carried unanimously.
The treasurer's report was accepted as given.
Sheets motioned to pay bills with support from Ahearn. Roll call vote: Wray-YES, Nightlinger-Yes, Ahearn-YES, Hughes-YES, Sheets-YES. Approved unanimously.
The fire department, planning commission, building inspector, water district, code enforcement and web master reports were given. 
A payment reminder notice to be sent to FOI requesters.
The payment for attendance of treasurer to MTA summer tax collection seminar was approved. Roll call vote: Sheets-YES, Hughes-YES, Ahearn-YES, Nightlinger-YES, Wray-YES.       
The upcoming road projects were discussed along with status of street light installations.
Hughes motioned with Wray supporting the attendance of board members and spouses to the June 5th Midland County Township Officers quarterly meeting at Homer Township 911 Center. Roll call vote: Hughes-YES, Sheets-YES, Wray-YES, Ahearn-YES, Nightlinger-YES. Approved unanimously.
Hughes motioned with Wray supporting the amending of the budget by transferring $12,000 from contingency fund to assessors salary line item: roll call vote: Nightlinger-YES, Ahearn-YES, Hughes-YES, Wray-YES, Sheets-YES. Approved unanimously.
